Stereofame Selects Vine House As their Artist Of The Month

Stereofame.com, a web site that hosts an internet based game where the listeners choose their favorite music and gain points for listening in, has choose indie band Vine House as their Artist of the Month.

Part pop, part rock, all smooth style: Vine House, a ‘pop powerhouse’ band based in New York City, has been selected as Stereofame.com’s Artist of the Month. Formed by Mark Stancato in 2006, Vine House recorded their first album “Young Regret” with self-penned tracks that show depth and an edgy style. With musical influences ranging from Tom Petty to The Cars, this retro sounding band is sure to pick up label attention in the near future.

Stereofame.com is an innovative web site that allows the user to sign up for a ‘game’ in which they choose their music, sign artists to their independent ‘virtual record labels’ and gain points that they can use for winning auction items. As the user amasses points through music spins, they can bid on bigger and better auction items. Stereofame’s key to success is in allowing the artists to partake in the game as well, thereby gaining themselves some much needed recognition and allowing the world to hear their music.

Vine House is currently in the studio recording their next album. Featuring the already popular songs “Billy Robbins” and “High Maintenance Girl”, the public’s next exposure to Vine House is sure to gain followers in droves.

Power pop music fans can catch Vine House live at an exclusive Fashion Week event in New York City on September 12th, 2009. The band will be showcased along with emerging designers at ‘Untapped Fashion & Music – NYC 09’ hosted at the Inc Lounge in the Time Hotel on W. 49th Street from 8 to 11 pm.

Vine House has also been selected to perform at the 9th Annual International Pop Overthrow Festival in New York on November 3rd to 8th. The festival is being held at Kenny’s Castaways.
