Apparent Networks’ PathView Product Now Rated "Avaya Compliant"

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. - Apparent Networks, a leading provider of network fault and performance management solutions, today announced that its PathView network performance management tool has been tested and certified as compliant with Avaya’s key IP telephony platform and unified communications architecture. Avaya is a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

PathView provides complete visibility into the end-to-end performance of the network paths, including the segments in carriers’ networks and service providers’ clouds. With its unique visibility, PathView enables customers to ensure the performance of their network infrastructures that support Avaya’s IP telephony and unified communications solutions. It lets customers support all aspects of their solution implementations - from pre-deployment assessments to in-life troubleshooting and monitoring - with no appliances or agents required.

Unlike other management products that focus only on VoIP call accounting, PathView’s unique approach enables network engineers to proactively predict the performance of UC services all the way through WAN clouds. PathView now is compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Auratm, Avaya’s key IP communications platform and unified communications architecture.

As a Gold member of the program, Apparent Networks is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure — speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
