Deutsche Telekom’s E-mail Center offers innovative functions such as a personal homepage and secured address data

The E-mail Center is becoming the Internet communications center for Deutsche Telekom customers: thanks to its innovative functions and new design, customers can now create a fully customized homepage. The online address book in the E-mail Center also allows them to keep their contact data to hand, complete and up-to-date at all times. E-mail has never been so easy and convenient.

Experience individuality - the new E-mail Center
Deutsche Telekom’s new E-mail Center offers users the maximum simplicity in Internet communication. The homepage can be custom-designed to individual needs: services such as “Horoscope”, “Weather”, “Premier League Soccer” and many more can be added anywhere on the page. The contact gallery allows users to organize all contacts at a glance and communicate at a click of the mouse. In addition to the usual communication methods such as e-mail and text messages, users can also chat directly with friends from the E-mail Center.

Contacts always available with the online address book
With the online address book in the E-mail Center, managing multiple address books is a thing of past. By synchronizing contacts e.g., with Outlook, multiple maintenance of identical contacts is eliminated. Users can also import address books from other e-mail accounts to transfer all contacts to the online address book with ease and manage them there in future. The online address book allows saved contacts to be completed directly with information from the public “DasÖrtliche” (local) telephone directory, particularly useful for ensuring a comprehensive, updated address book. Users then have access to all contact information in the address book anywhere via the Internet.

Contact details can never again be irrecoverably lost: once recorded in the online address book via PC, all information is stored securely. Importantly, the online address book can also be synchronized with the network-based MyPhonebook from T-Mobile: users need only connect once to configure the continuous automatic synchronization of the two address books with a few clicks. Then if a user loses his or her cell phone, all data can easily be downloaded onto the new handset from the PC with no cables or complicated software installation.
