The Czech automaker will be celebrating the occasion by unveiling the new Škoda Enyaq RS family – the brand’s sportiest electric model to date – alongside the Elroq RS. Ahead of the digital world premiere on Škoda’s YouTube channel, the carmaker has released a teaser revealing the first exterior and interior details of the Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupé RS. Škoda is providing the organisers with a fleet of 45 electrified vehicles, comprising 30 fully electric Elroq and new Enyaq models, along with 15 plug-in hybrid versions of the Kodiaq iV and Superb Combi iV. Another highlight will be the all-new crystal trophy for the tournament’s ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP), created by the Škoda Design team. The championship will take place from 9 to 25 May in Stockholm, Sweden, and Herning, Denmark Fans and visitors can also look forward to Škoda fan zones in both host cities, offering a varied programme of activities.

New Enyaq RS: the range-topping versions of Škoda’s all-electric flagship model
Ahead of the world premiere, Škoda Auto has released a teaser clip offering a first glimpse of both the new Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupé RS. The digital world premiere of both models will take place on 9 May at 16:00 CEST on the Škoda Auto YouTube channel, with both cars making their public debut simultaneously in Stockholm and Herning.

The RS models represent the range-topping versions of the recently updated Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé. Their bold new design, based on the Modern Solid design language, features the distinctive Tech-Deck Face in gloss black, incorporating all the sensors required for advanced driver assistance and safety systems. All-wheel drive is delivered via two electric motors – one on each axle – producing a combined output of 250 kW. This enables rapid acceleration, with both the new Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupé RS sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds – making them, alongside the Elroq RS, the fastest-accelerating models in the current Škoda line-up. Customers can choose between two distinctive interior variants: RS Lounge and RS Suite, both offering comprehensive standard equipment.

Škoda Auto sets new sponsorship milestones and unveils a redesigned trophy
Škoda Auto has been supporting the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship since 1992, initially as a mobility partner, and becoming the official main sponsor the following year – a role it has held ever since. With 32 consecutive years of sponsorship, the Czech car manufacturer holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-running main sponsorship in the history of any world championship.

Since 2018, Škoda Auto has also designed the tournament’s MVP trophy. This year, the trophy has been completely redesigned for the first time in seven years. The new interpretation features bold geometric cuts in a monolithic body of hand-blown glass. Designed in line with the brand’s new Modern Solid design language, the trophy stands out for its fluid, nature-inspired form. As in previous years, the material of choice is Czech crystal – celebrated for its artisanal precision and craftsmanship. The signature Škoda green is created using specially developed emerald pigments, uniquely suspended within the glass.

Škoda fan zones bring the brand closer to fans of all ages
Visitors to the championship will have the opportunity to see Škoda vehicles up close – including the new Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupé RS – both inside the arenas and in the surrounding areas. Škoda Auto will also operate dedicated fan zones in both host cities, offering a vibrant mix of entertainment and activities. Guests can sing along in a special karaoke-equipped Elroq or play hockey-themed mini-games on their smartphones.

In Stockholm – hosting the World Championship for the eleventh time – fans will also be able to test their aim in a virtual goal-shooting simulator and see the newly designed MVP trophy in person. In Herning, one of the many highlights will be a giant goalie mask painted in Škoda colours.
