Michael Stephen Daigle’s “Dragony Rising” Will Be Showcased at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

The hard-boiled mystery and crime thriller “Dragony Rising: A Frank Nagler Mystery” by Michael Stephen Daigle will be displayed by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The literary festival will take place on April 22-23, 2023, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA.

“Dragony Rising” is the fifth book in the “Frank Nagler Mystery” series. It tells a story of a detective, Frank Nagler, who has witnessed many changes in his hometown of Ironton, New Jersey, over the past few years. Most recently, scandals have erupted within the city government, with the stench of its corruption embedded deep enough to rival the dank, stagnant stench arising from the old bog on the outskirts of town.

Detective Nagler had witnessed his fair share of gruesome scenes throughout his career, but the explosion that ripped through the once-thriving town left him stunned. As Warren Street erupted into chaos, debris rained down from the sky like a twisted confetti parade, with splintered wood, shattered glass, and twisted metal flying in all directions. Amidst the chaos, an antique clock, its glass face cracked and hands frozen in time, stood as a haunting reminder of the moment that changed everything.

This crime is hard to solve because the clues are confusing and scarce. The investigation takes the detectives to an old drug case involving a teenager and a bunch of companies with a mysterious goal that doesn’t seem to care about the growing number of dead bodies.
