Sight Diagnostics® and Inter Medico Announce the Health Canada Approval of Sight OLO for Point-of-Care Testing

Tel Aviv, Israel (January 10, 2022) - Sight Diagnostics, the company delivering lab-quality Complete Blood Count (CBC) results in minutes, announces it has received Health Canada approval to provide Sight OLO® analyzers for point-of-care settings. Through its distribution partner Inter Medico, Sight will bring the first and only 5-part differential CBC testing to emergency departments, hospitals, point-of-care labs, medical clinics and all other diagnostic testing facilities across Canada.

With Sight OLO, users draw blood from a finger prick or venous sample and in minutes, receive 5-part differential results that can be used for clinical diagnosis. The analyzer has no maintenance, has a simple cartridge-based set up, requires no calibration, and can be performed by anyone, anywhere and at any time. 

Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound Ontario was a trial site for Sight OLO and Tom Blashill, Charge Technologist Hematology, commented: “Small, sleek with a super intuitive display Sight OLO is something you’d expect to see in an Apple store. For example, through Sight’s partner AA Pharma, psychiatry clinics can leverage Sight OLO to monitor patients’ blood who are receiving Clozapine treatment.
