About the Author:

Marshall Clayton was born on March 21, 1951 to Margaret and Earl Clayton, a couple that lived on a tobacco farm in Northern North Carolina. In the early years of his life, education wasn’t very important to his family. It was all about the ability to work. Although he was commanded to do his homework each night, the main focus was on the chores that was given for him to do each day.

So, from the tobacco fields in northern North Carolina to where he sits today; what has he accomplished? In 1970, he went to work for an electrical contractor, in 1975 he passed the exam to become a Licensed electrician in North Carolina. He worked for the same company for 48 years, retiring in June, 2018. Within that same time, God called him to preach in 1984. In 1990 he started a church and was ordained into the gospel ministry. He pastored that church for 10 years while still working a full time job with that company.
