The Blanket is Blue ushers the reader on an emotional trek beginning with the birth of twins to an exuberant couple. John and Stella Smith’s world suddenly turns on its axis when one of their infants goes missing. Meanwhile, another couple acquires the baby through black-market adoption. These two families coincidentally strike a friendship in the future and the story becomes even more interesting.

Elizabeth Winslow, now grown, finds out the bleak truth. Hurt and confused, she sets out alone in the search of her true identity. This soon leads her to an ultimatum. Whom will she choose? The story is emotionally exhausting and the readers’ hearts might even break for the characters in their moments of vulnerability. Wrought with vivid imagery and dialogue, the writing is superb.

It flows rather smoothly despite being very fast paced. It is well worth for anyone who enjoys unique and original thriller reads.
