Book Excellence Awards: Pearson Media Group Sides with Williams’ Enlightening Satire

Previous winners and finalists have experienced incredible benefits after receiving their award such as being featured in Forbes, TIME, and other famed networks. The Book Excellence Awards is an international book awards competition that recognizes books for their high-quality design, writing, and overall market appeal.

Joining this year’s competition is Robert Williams’ “Rainbow Farm” – a political satire both entertaining and educational. Political events are sufficiently explained without sounding like a strict boring read. It is a unique scheme of exposing power abuse and failures in administration.  Accompanied with wonderful illustrations, anyone can definitely understand it.

The story begins with the arrival of Pete to the farm up to the point of the election and the aftermath of what is undoubtedly the greatest political upset in modern history. Certain personalities are alluded to animals on the farm with hilarious character descriptions. Their in-depth conversations address numerous topics which are afflicting today’s society.

It is an account of the state of US political affairs that showcases the hypocrisy of both parties in their dealings with each other as well as their hypocritical views of other “farms”. This great book is a call for an open mind towards all things different and it encourages a more critical mindset towards the self.

Despite the theme, it is surprisingly easy to connect to. Readers even have a tough time putting it down.

About the Author

Born in 1960, Robert Williams is a retired Army officer who lives in Northern Virginia. Growing up as the son of a school teacher he was encouraged from an early age to be an avid reader. After high school, Bob moved to Salinas, California where he became enamored with the famous local author John Steinbeck reading several of his classics. While in College in 1987 at the University of Memphis, the seed for writing was planted. A course requirement he penned received high praise and encouragement from an esteemed professor who he greatly admired. Such recognition stuck with him for years to come.
