Cannes – WEBWIRE

During the future engineers awards ceremony organized by French business and industry magazine Usine Nouvelle in Paris on December 3, three special “editor’s choice” awards were given by the publication’s journalists, based on what they had heard  during speeches or presentations.

It was during a panel discussion on flexible satellites at World Satellite Business Week that Didier Le Boulc’h, Vice President, Strategy and Telecommunications Solutions at Thales Alenia Space, Joint Venture between Thales (67 %) and Leonardo (33 %), presented the new Space Inspire product line, which earned him this award.

The Engineer-Manager award recognizes a manager who has been able to inspire his or her teams and lead them in a successful industrial project.

“This award recognizes Thales Alenia Space’s dynamic approach to industrial innovation, which drove us to launch a new product addressing market requirements, while also supporting the digital transformation of our industry and our customers. Space Inspire is our own all-digital satellite solution, and I am very proud of Didier Le Boulc’h, our ‘ambassador’, who has earned recognition for his work today,” said Jean Loic Galle, President and Chief Executive Officer of Thales Alenia Space.

“I was very lucky and very proud to be able to work with a team of some fifty highly skilled engineers, all very passionate about their work,” said Didier Le Boulc’h, Vice President, Strategy and Telecommunications Solutions at Thales Alenia Space. “Because of their energy, their talent and their ability to meet challenges, I wanted to share my award with them. Without this team spirit, there would be no project – and no managers!”
