About the Authors
Christopher Merchant MD, has been a family practice physician for forty-two years and Carolyn Merchant JD, has been an attorney for thirty-seven years. Both Merchants thought, discussed, observed, and researched the ideas on the origin of diseases for four decades. Their years of experience, observation, research, and discussions gave them the ability to make conclusions about the root causes of chronic illnesses, which supports a principle of the whole in chronic diseases. The inspiration in writing their book, “The Origin of Disease: The War Within,” was to help others and to challenge the medical system to think differently and do better.
