Epstein Becker Green’s National Telemental Analysis Article Receives Editor’s Choice Award from Dr. John Halamka

The article award recipient is entitled ‘Telemental and Telebehavioral Health Considerations: A 50-State Analysis on the Development of Telehealth Policy,’ by national law firm Epstein Becker Green (EBG) and spearheaded by health care attorney Amy Lerman. The content for the article is based on EBG’s annual analysis on its third annual survey of state telehealth laws, regulations, and policies within mental health. The firm recently published its fourth edition which found telehealth services are increasingly accessible to mental health professionals despite continued legislative barriers.  ‘There’s a crisis in behavioral health. Anxiety and depression are at record levels but there are not enough providers to deliver services.  Telemedicine is our best hope and our winning article reviews the possibilities,’ stated John Halamka, MD, Teleheath and Medicine Today editor-in-chief.
