Author Walter Madenford’s book on pre-tribulation rapture makes the rounds at 2019 Frankfurt Book Fair

First published 15 years ago, “Going Against the Tide Prophetically: An Assessment of Current Teachings from The Pre-Tribulation Viewpoint” details Walter Madenford’s pre-tribulation viewpoint of the rapture. The rapture, according to Wikipedia, is an eschatological (pertaining to the “last things”) concept “consisting of an end time event when all Christian believers who are alive, along with the resurrected dead believers, will rise "in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.”
 
The revised “Going Against the Tide Prophetically” presents new perspectives, plus a deeper assessment about prophecies in the Bible, particularly the books of Daniel, Ezekiel, Joel, the Gospels, and Revelation. The book includes corrections and alterations to some long-held views on the pre-tribulation rapture. This theological focus mirrors the title of the book.
 
During his guesting on Ric Bratton’s radio program This Week in America, Madenford told the host he goes against the majority opinion on the events of the Last Day return of Christ.
 
“There are some things I agree with them on but there are many events, many things where I disagree,” said the author. “Not major doctrines, you know. Nothing to do with salvation or anything like that. It does have to do with the many events that would take place on the Second Coming of Christ.”
 
It is Madenford’s persuasion that there should be many corrections made, not to the framework but to the many details of pre-tribulation rapture. He said, “After much thought, I have decided not to present a view toward which I lean, but cannot be dogmatic about, but rather to present various bits of information generally overlooked, and allow the reader to make up his or her own mind.”
 
“Going Against the Tide Prophetically” has been making the rounds at different book events this year. The book was last displayed at the 2019 Frankfurt Book Fair on October 16-20, 2019 at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt, Germany.
