Summerville, South Carolina – WEBWIRE

“Puppy Love” is a moving literary masterpiece authored by artist Julian Lorenzana wherein he vividly puts into words the love that binds man and animals. Driven with the passion to teach people to value this meaningful connection, Lorenzana teams up with Author Capital LLC to present the material to the international literary market.

The story begins with two little boys finding abandoned three little puppies. Pity stirred inside one of the little boys, he decided to take them home with him. The family already has three pets and adopting more might be difficult. The father has arrived at a decision to nurture the three scrawny puppies back to health and then put them up for adoption.

As the days come, meaningful moments were generously spent with the puppies and the family has grown to love them. The three little daughters refused to give up the puppies for adoption and their father is caught in a dilemma.

What fate awaits the little dogs now that their vigor has been restored? Will they stay or will a new loving family welcome them as part of theirs?

About the Author
Julian Lorenzana was born in San Antonio Matute, Jalisco, México in 1932. He came to the United States in 1945 to supposedly work out in the fields but Uncle Sam did not allow it. Instead, he had to go to school, eventually graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and an elementary teacher’s credential. Later, he earned a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education from the same university. He taught school full-time in the fifth through eighth grades for 34 years, retiring formally in 1994 and subbed from kinder through fourth grades until the year 2000. He quit subbing in order to stay home with his wife because Parkinson’s disease had rendered her somewhat immobile and she fell too often.

While Julian was teaching, he took a correspondence class in Children’s Literature that inspired him to write six short stories that include: “A Boy Becomes a Man” (its translation, “Madurez Temprana de Un Niño”), “Puppy Love,” “Pet Cat on a Hunt,” “A Dream Comes True,” “Until Death Do Us Part” and “Short Stories: Childhood Anecdotes and Easy Poems for Everyone.” These stories have all been published. He is also writing his autobiography.

Julian had dreamed of becoming a professional singer since he was a child but his dreams were derailed by his marriage. He then delved into songwriting and has written more than 700 songs, and he shares his poems and some story chapters with friends on Facebook and on WritersCafe.org.
