The World Economic Forum has opened media accreditation for the fourth Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils 2019, which will take place at the Madinat Jumeirah Convention Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 3-4 November. Hosted in partnership with the UAE government, the meeting will bring together over 700 of the world’s most relevant experts from the Forum’s Network of Global Future Councils.

This year, leading experts from academia, business, government and civil society will challenge assumptions and introduce fresh ideas to reshape global systems for the benefit of humanity and the planet. The network provides its members with a platform for multistakeholder collaboration to identify creative ways for councils to provide solutions.

The most forward-looking experts from 38 Global Future Councils will address a wide range of topics, from human rights in the Fourth Industrial Revolution to quantum computing and equality and inclusion. For the first time, the meeting will welcome councils on artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the internet of things – part of the Forum’s work at the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in San Francisco.

The outcomes will shape the agenda for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2020 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, as well as the Forum’s ongoing global initiatives.

For media, the meeting provides unique access to a multistakeholder group of experts and discussion on the world’s pressing issues.

If you would like to cover the event, please submit your accreditation request online at www.weforummedia.org. The deadline for media accreditation is Sunday 27 October. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted and no accreditation will be considered on-site. All requests are subject to confirmation by the World Economic Forum.
