Vion is consistently expanding its promotion of young talent. Currently, 14 of the 19 German locations are also training facilities. In addition to dual courses of study, numerous training positions are offered. The trainee programme has been widely accepted. According to a Focus Money survey, Vion’s acceptance is well above the national average.

The extensive range of training courses is very well received. In the past two months, almost 50 young people have started their on-the-job education at Vion. The locations where Vion specifically promotes young talent are spread all over Germany and range from Bad Bramstedt in the north via Perleberg, Hilden, Emstek, Holzwickede, Altenburg, Großostheim, Crailsheim, Buchloe, Furth im Wald and Waldkraiburg to the south. Similarly, Vion´s IT department and Vion Zucht- und Nutzvieh GmbH provide trainings. Currently, 17 traineeshipsand 4 dual courses of study are offered.

The variety of entry and later also promotion opportunities at Vion is demonstrated by a recently produced video. The fresh, modern video offers a look behind the scenes. Here, employees of Vion authentically and closely explain the many opportunities that Vion has to offer as an attractive employer in the areas of training, entry and further education (https://vimeo.com/user51148192).

The trainee programme is also enjoying a very positive response. Kienbaum Institute @ISM has conducted and recently published a study on behalf of Focus Money to identify top career opportunities for university graduates.  The result: 102 companies from 24 industries were awarded. Vion landed in the upper third of the ratings.

Currently, 9 trainees undergo the training programme in various areas of the company. During the 18-month term, university graduates have the opportunity to get to know various sites. The trainees specialise in an area such as purchasing, sales, production, QA, HR or finance. Over the entire period, each trainee is supported by a mentor and the personnel development department. This ensures a high-quality, but also individually adapted trainee programme. The aim of the measure is to promote and qualify junior staff at the Vion Food Group.
