In this poignant, canny, and imaginative personal narrative, Sue Hassel shares in her book, Random Thoughts of a Creative Mind: A Life’s Journey of the Creative Process,” her evolution from a naïve farm girl to a fully formed artist and thinker.

Sue Hassel has mastered the art of singing, dancing, drawing, painting and now writing. However, her journey was not without trial and tribulation.  There were years that she was lost, demoralized and even suicidal, but she never stopped searching for her own unique truth. She redeemed herself in time to pen this creative memoir.  In this book, she spreads a hopeful message to anyone who is doubting themselves . . .  anyone who fears they have lost their faith and passion.

The book tracks her experiences during different stages of her life, and through it all there is a steely thread of humor and grit. The book is divided into individually titled sections in which every reader can find practical advice, inspiration and hope.

“Random Thoughts of a Creative Mind” should have a place on your bookshelf.  For a varied sampling of her artwork, photographs and current soundbites, check out her website, www.suehassel.com.

About the Author
Sue Hassel was born to an intuitively creative and musical family and grew up on the family farm in Wisconsin.  She began singing opera in Europe and later moved to New York City.  She has been featured (both in print and online weekend editions) of the Wall Street Journal in 2013, and the New York Times in 2015.  Ms. Hassel is still an active singer, performing two recitals a year for public performance (as well as on film performing as a dancer, pianist and singer).  In New York City she enjoys the moniker “The Soprano on the Bridge.” She also teaches voice privately to singers.  Her personal passion?  Helping singers rebuild their voices after vocal crises. Hassel is a fighter who lives life on purpose!
