China Industrial Securities Adopts Bloomberg Buy-Side Solutions

Robust risk and compliance workflow to support the financial group as they internationalize

Hong Kong – WEBWIRE

Bloomberg announced today that China Industrial Securities International Financial Group Limited (“CISI”), a leading full-service financial group listed in Hong Kong, has adopted a broad range of Bloomberg’s buy-side solutions, including its buy-side Order Management System (“AIM”), Bloomberg Transaction Cost Analysis (“BTCA”), Liquidity Assessment (“LQA”) and Bloomberg Vault. These buy-side solutions will enable the group to navigate a fast-evolving global regulatory environment as they position for international growth.

“We are excited to be working with Bloomberg to ensure our risk practices are aligned to local and global regulatory best practices,” said Pan Li, Head of Asset Management at China Industrial Securities International Financial Group Limited. “As we navigate a complex financial landscape, Bloomberg remains our technology partner of choice. We believe that their advanced technology will help us differentiate our offering and attract new clients globally.”

CISI is aiming to get ahead of regulatory developments including a recent circular highlighting instances of non-compliance by Hong Kong based asset managers in areas such as liquidity risk management, asset valuation, real-time pre and post-trade compliance, best execution and record keeping.

CISI uses AIM to manage its multi-asset portfolios and to maintain its Investment Book of Records (IBOR), BTCA for transparent and unbiased transaction cost analysis and Bloomberg LQA to quantitatively evaluate market liquidity across multiple asset classes using a data driven approach. Bloomberg Vault is a secure cloud-based service for information governance, surveillance, and trade reconstruction across the enterprise. Bloomberg’s Enterprise Technology team was also engaged to consult on and design the group’s front to back office workflows, to ensure that data flows seamlessly between internal and external systems.

“As China Industrial Securities International embarked on their ambitious plan for international growth, it needed an integrated technology solution to help them remain fully compliant wherever they grew,” said Norman Tweeboom, Asia Pacific Head of Buy-side Enterprise, Bloomberg. “The buy-side firm of today requires agility to succeed and our suite of solutions enables them to generate alpha, develop and service clients, operate efficiently and grow profits in the face of change. We are proud to deliver a single compliant workflow, embedding transparency across their entire enterprise and investment lifecycle.”
