Eurimages in Venice!

Some Eurimages-supported co-productions will be screened during the upcoming edition of the Venice Film Festival (28/08-07/09/2019) which opens with The Truth by Kore-eda Hirokazu:

  • About Endlessness (SE, DE, NO) by Roy Andersson in the official competition
  • Pelican Blood (DE, BG) by Katrin Gebbe and Sole (IT, PL) by Carlo Sironi in the Orizzonti section; the film Blanco en Blanco by Théo Court, selected in this competition, received the Eurimages Lab-Project Award;
  • Seules les bêtes (FR, DE) by Dominik Moll will open the Venice Days section which also includes Cold Case Hammarskjöld by Mads Brugger and God exists, her name is Petrunya by Teona Strugar Mitevska as part of the three finalists of the LUX Prize.


Finally, the Eurimages-supported co-production Another Day in Baghdad (Iraq, France, Germany, UK, Kuwait) by Maysoon Pachachi has been selected to participate in the “Final Cut in Venice 2019” programme.

You will find the Eurimages team among the exhibitors of the Venice Production Bridge from 29 August to 2 September 2019 on the third floor of the Hotel Excelsior. For your information, the closing cocktail of the Gap-Financing Market which will take place on Sunday 1 September will be hosted by Eurimages and sponsored by the winery PONTE (www.ponte1948.it): access by invitation only.

A Seminar on Gender Equality and Inclusivity and Film Industry hosted by La Biennale di Venezia and Eurimages among other participants will take place on Monday 2nd September from 3.30 to 5.30 pm in the Spazio Incontri of the Hotel Excelsior (3rd floor): you are all very welcome!
