About the Author 

Leesa King is a registered nurse, who has worked in mental health settings with individuals of all ages, and also as a school nurse. She enjoys helping people and learning about other cultures. Leesa has participated in short-term mission trips to El Salvador, Nicaragua, Peru, and the Philippines. She went to El Salvador as a teacher at a bilingual Christian school. She taught grades three and four during the mornings, and eleventh grade English in the afternoons for two years. During this time, El Salvador experienced two major earthquakes. Leesa volunteered at the Salvadoran Red Cross until the schools reopened.

Leesa is also a breast cancer survivor of three years. She is grateful to God for His love, mercy, protection, and provisions. She is thankful for the family and friends God blessed her with. Leesa was encouraged to write her life story by Rev. Charlotte Holliday who has been a wonderful friend for thirty years.
