TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2020: After a one-year wait, international bicycle competition is back with its eighth round

After a one-year break, the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards will take place as usual on the occasion of the TAIPEI CYCLE Show 2020 (4 to 7 March). Designers, manufacturers and retailers are invited to submit their bicycle innovations until 16 December 2019. Both exhibitors and non-exhibitors of the show are welcome to take part. To encourage young companies, start-ups established after 1 January 2016 are automatically eligible to compete for the special “Gold Award – Yong Enterprise” distinction.

The TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards are now about to be held for the eighth time, striving to build a platform for contestants to demonstrate innovation and design in the global cycling industry, as well as an ideal stage for elite innovative talent from all countries. In response to last year’s adjustment of the exhibition period, the award was held in the form of retrospective exhibitions and international design lectures. The organizers, TAITRA and TBA, look forward to seeing more exquisite works in this year’s competition.

Two years ago, the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards established categories for E-bikes + Pedelecs and IoT Applications in Cycling. They want to actively encourage those in relevant clothing and accessory industries, as well as companies that provide cloud services and applications to compete, since cloud data integration and smart IoT related peripheral services have sprung up in recent years.

Jury Session
A panel of well-known experts from all over the world will gather in Taipei on 8 and 9 January 2020 to judge and evaluate all the entries and to select the winners of the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2020. Outstanding achievements in design and innovation, which meet the criteria of innovation and elaboration, functionality, aesthetics, responsibility and positioning, have a good chance to receive a TAIPEI CYCLE gold award.

The Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony will be held during the press conference of the TAIPEI CYCLE Show on 3 March 2020. The honor of an award not only represents the greatest recognition, but also an excellent chance to promote both the enterprises and the products.
