Author Joseph Brisben Takes Readers into the Good Old High School Days in His New Book

Iowa City, IA – WEBWIRE

Every teenager seems to have that longing to make something out of high school before going into college. It’s a statement that everyone seeks. Published author, Joseph Brisben, gives readers from all age groups an exciting book to relate in his recent work entitled, “Skip Day.”

Joe Ralston, the protagonist in this story, has that special fascination for the accoutrements of death. He has been eyeing for the black 1949 Packard hearse that’s been for sale in front of a funeral home. An idea came to him to rent it for Skip Day, a day in late May wherein seniors get a day off from school. With the help of his father, he got it. He and his friends paint graffiti on it with shoe polish and ride it in the parade. Unexpected things happened after the event.

Author Joseph Brisben has masterfully laced the details of the story. Accordingly, readers will be served with a story that’s a combination of tales like that of the films “American Graffiti” and "Animal House” with a promise that it’s deeper.

For anyone who wants a combination of humor and thrill, this book will definitely satisfy your imagination and longing for a good read.
