Marugame Udon, Japan’s favorite udon and tempura shop, will celebrate the grand opening of its seventh U.S. restaurant at The Bloc on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at 11:00AM. The Marugame Udon at The Bloc is located at 750 W. 7th Street (Plaza Level), Los Angeles, CA 90017.

Marugame Udon serves Sanuki-style, square, flat-edged, made-to-order noodles in signature broths simmered with Japanese kelp, bonito flakes, and soy sauce. Udon bowls are fully customizable, hot or cold, with complimentary toppings including tempura flakes, green onions and other accompaniments to add individualized flavor and texture.

Marugame Udon’s basic udon bowls, priced at $5.00, and freshly made side dishes such as tempura, inari (fried bean curd sushi) and musubi (rice balls with assorted fillings), starting from $1.10, make for a satisfying traditional Japanese meal, for just about $10 per person*. Tempura options include proteins such as shrimp, calamari and chicken and seasonal vegetables such as pumpkin, broccoli, zucchini, and sweet potato.

Marugame Udon operates a total of six U.S. locations: Glendale Galleria, Beverly Center, Sawtelle, Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco, Waikiki and Downtown Honolulu. Marugame Udon plans to open next at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa and Berkeley, California.
