Northrop Grumman Receives Ninth Consecutive FAA Diamond Award

For the ninth year in a row, Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE: NOC) Rolling Meadows Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certified Repair Station has been recognized with an Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Diamond Award of Excellence for the company’s commitment to maintenance training and safety. More than 40 Northrop Grumman employees also received individual awards.

The Diamond Award recognizes facilities at which all aviation maintenance professionals have completed a series of rigorous training courses. The FAA Certified Repair Station opened in 2009, and has received the Diamond award every year it has been eligible. In 2018, just 3 percent of qualifying Part 145 repair stations received the Diamond Award.

“Keeping our customers’ infrared countermeasure systems ready for the mission is a top priority, and these awards recognize the commitment our employees make to maintain their skills at the highest level,” said Bob Gough, vice president, land and avionics C4ISR, Northrop Grumman.

Northrop Grumman’s infrared countermeasure systems have been installed on more than 1,500 aircraft of more than 80 different types.
