Kentucky Hemp Stores™ Announces Six Store Openings In Kentucky

Florence, Kentucky – WEBWIRE

“Myself, and my family are extremely excited with the opportunity to continue a family tradition in the Kentucky hemp business that began 269 years ago,” said Kentucky Colonel Ray Whitmer, founder of Kentucky Hemp Stores™.

Kentucky Hemp Stores™ announced today the launch of six stores in Northern and Central Kentucky offering everything from hemp aprons to hemp woodwork. This first phase of store openings includes Kentucky Hemp Stores™ in Alexandria, KY; Bellevue, KY; Covington, KY; Independence, KY; Florence, KY; and Lexington, KY.

The founder of Kentucky Hemp Stores™ family roots in Kentucky go back to 1749 when his family was among the earliest pioneering families that settled in central Kentucky. The family had a long history in farming in their native country of Germany which they continued upon their arrival in the new world. In 1752, Danville farmers began growing and selling hemp. The demand for hemp was very high and somewhat lucrative so our founder’s family took up hemp farming which continued until hemp became illegal with The Marihuana Tax Act of 1937.

The Kentucky Hemp Law of 2018 legalized the growing of industrial hemp and the production and sale of CBD, putting Kentucky in the epicenter of hemp farming once again.

“Myself, and my family are extremely excited with the opportunity to continue a family tradition in the Kentucky hemp business that began 269 years ago,” said Kentucky Colonel Ray Whitmer, founder of Kentucky Hemp Stores™.

The Kentucky Hemp Stores™ are based in Florence, Kentucky.
