Robert Blair Promoted to President, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution

Long-time veteran of Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, Robert Blair, has been promoted to President, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, it was announced by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution.

Blair, who will continue to be based in London, will oversee one of the world’s largest and most successful international television distribution businesses. He will be responsible for the licensing of all programming from Warner Bros., HBO and Turner, including films, television series, animation, documentaries, digital content and more across all television platforms, from free to cable/pay and subscription video on demand. Blair will also oversee sales teams based in 12 offices globally.

“Robert’s smart, strategic and keen business acumen have contributed to make him an invaluable member of our international television business,” said Schlesinger. “He has played a vital role during a time of great disruption and evolution for our industry and will continue to play an even more vital role as we integrate HBO and Turner product into our distribution activities. This is truly a well-deserved promotion.”

Blair, a 21-year veteran of the company, previously served as Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, a post he was promoted to in 2017 when he assumed responsibility for all international television sales. Prior to that, he was responsible for Europe, Middle East & Africa, a post he was named to in 2013. Before that, he had served as Senior Vice President, Northern Europe, Middle East, and Africa since 2006. He joined Warner Bros. International Television Distribution in 1998 as General Manager, Canadian Operations and was promoted to Vice President & General Manager, Canadian Operations in 2000. Blair holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Western Ontario.
