A Statement from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

 Houghton Mifflin Harcourt released the following statement regarding the departure of Rose Else-Mitchell as the company’s Chief Learning Officer and Executive Vice President of Professional Services:

“For the last 18 years, Rose has been one of the leaders in the education technology movement focused on creating personalized, engaging and effective classroom solutions – such as READ 180 and MATH 180 – that nourish the relationship between a teacher and her students as well as leverage continuous, formative assessment data to drive a teacher’s instructional decisions,” said Jack Lynch, Chief Executive Officer of HMH. “We thank her for her significant contributions and wish her well in her future endeavors.”

Else-Mitchell will remain in her role until the end of June to assist with transition.
