Fantasy novel by Charita Padilla will be on exhibit at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair

Charita Padilla published “Gabe: Fiery Eagle” (Outskirts Press; 2015), a follow-up to her 2012 fantasy novel “The Silver Moon: Sadie Wheaton.” This book will be displayed alongside thousands of other books at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair on November 22-24, 2019 at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in Downtown Miami.
 
Founded in 1984 as “Books by the Bay,” the Miami Book Fair is the largest and most important literary festival in the country. The book fair aims to promote reading, encourage writing, and heighten an awareness of literacy and the literary arts in Miami’s multi-ethnic community. In 2018, the Miami Book Fair drew an estimated 200,000 visitors and hosted 500+ authors and 200+ exhibitors.
 
Padilla’s fantasy novel “Gabe: Fiery Eagle” will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet at the Miami Book Fair.
 
The novel is somewhat a tie-in to “The Silver Moon: Sadie Wheaton.” The book tells the adventures of the titular character, a fiery golden eagle. Discovered as a baby eagle and cared for by his master Chief Jeff Stoneman, Gabe will help Sir, Thom Winterland, Sadie Wheaton (the heroine of the first novel in the series) and her friends, and many others from the Wizard School. He will save the Wizard School from destruction by Leila Thompson and other villains.
