Shamblin Stone Answers Mankind’s Purpose for Existence

Reed Deer, Alberta, Canada – WEBWIRE

The Word of God preaches that mankind’s purpose for existence is “to the praise of His/God’s glory.”  (Ephesians 1:14)

Every person who has ever lived has wrestled with the question of the purpose of human life. The way God designed and created us has everything to do with us accomplishing that purpose. This book examines in detail how God made us in His likeness and image, and how every part of us is necessary to accomplish God’s purpose for us. It also looks into the Redemption Plan of God to redeem all of the parts of a human being, so we can fulfill the purpose for which we were created. Finally, this book explains how each part of our humanity functions when we obey God’s purpose for our existence, and worship Him.

Our worship of God is our service to God. When we serve someone, we are ministering to his or her needs, not our own needs. A true servant does not think of him or herself first but rather thinks of how he or she may meet the needs of those he or she is serving.

Although God is completely independent and needs nothing from any other being, God has chosen to need our worship by creating us with worship as the sole purpose for our existence. Therefore, as we serve God with our worship, we should be only mindful of what will bless Him, not us. Our comfort is less than of secondary concern when it comes to sustaining God’s need to be praised. Therefore, it is only reasonable that our desires, our comfort, and the benefits we receive when worshipping the Lord are not considered worship. Our attitude motivating us to worship and sustaining us during the act of worship must be that we only want to please the Almighty God.
