Fujifilm Advances Endoscopic Imaging Capabilities for Five Healthcare Organizations across the Country

LEXINGTON, Mass. – WEBWIRE

We’re very pleased and proud that five new healthcare organizations have recognized the clinical, operational, and financial value that comes with investing in our state-of-the- art endoscopic imaging innovations,” says Taisuke Fujita, General Manager of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.

FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of endoscopic imaging solutions, today announced that five more healthcare facilities across the nation have invested in Fujifilm’s ELUXEO Endoscopic Visualization System, the company’s next-generation image enhanced endoscopy system.

“We’re very pleased and proud that five new healthcare organizations have recognized the clinical, operational, and financial value that comes with investing in our state-of-the- art endoscopic imaging innovations,” says Taisuke Fujita, General Manager of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “Fujifilm’s ELUXEO system and 700 Series Endoscopes are designed to provide optimal visualization and reduce physical stress on the clinician—all while accommodating technical and personal endoscopic preferences. Technology that supports more comfortable, efficient procedures can help drive better patient outcomes.”

Fujifilm’s ELUXEO Endoscopic Visualization System is comprised of the 7000 Video Imaging System and 700 Series Endoscopes. It features 4-LED Multi-Light Technology, which creates Blue Light Imaging (BLI) and Linked Color Imaging (LCI®) special light observation modes. The 7000 Video Imaging System has an extended LED lamp life expectancy of up to six years, minimizing time-consuming and costly light bulb replacements, as compared with conventional Xenon lamps. The 700 Series Endoscopes feature a host of advancements in comfort, efficiency, and visualization. This platform offers improved image quality in terms of sharpness and brightness, delivering optimal visual information for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in daily clinical practice.

The following healthcare facilities have recently invested in Fujifilm’s ELUXEO system:

Manhattan Endoscopy—Located in midtown Manhattan, NY, Manhattan Endoscopy brings together 30 of the city’s respected physicians. Joint Commission certified and an ASGE Center of Excellence, Manhattan Endoscopy is also a committed member of the NYC Colonoscopy Quality Benchmarking initiative. Manhattan Endoscopy faced workflow impediments with its legacy endoscope vendor and wanted brand-new, cutting edge technology. The organization saw high value in ELUXEO, but the team was officially sold because of their strong relationship with and trust in Fujifilm as a partner. As an organization that strongly advocates for regular colorectal cancer screenings, Manhattan Endoscopy now boasts the technology to provide next-level patient care with ELUXEO.

Carnegie Hill Endoscopy—Located on the Upper Eastside of New York City, Carnegie Hill Endoscopy (CHE) is a clinical affiliate of Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and well as the ASGE EURP Quality Program.  The Center has also been a leader in the delivery of screening colonoscopies to the medically underserved citizens of NYC via the Community Cares Project.  Collectively, CHE’s 24 private practicing physicians have written over 100 scientific papers and 27 chapters, and have authored four books in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy. These prestigious physicians faced issues relating to service and repairs with CHE’s legacy scopes, which ultimately led the center to seek reliable solutions from a new endoscopic imaging partner. CHE ultimately partnered with Fujifilm for an ELUXEO installation because of the trust they had in the company process, and product. CHE’s goals were to increase productivity and reduce downtime, and since CHE’s ELUXEO install, physicians operate with state-of-the-art tools to support their world class patient care.

Medical Center Endoscopy is an ambulatory surgical center (ASC) specializing in upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures in the Houston, Texas community. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and is designed to give each patient the ultimate experience in same day surgical procedures with quality care. After gaining rigorous hands-on experience with Fujifilm’s ELUXEO, physicians saw noticeable benefits in drivability and image quality. Despite its 20 year relationship with its previous endoscopic imaging partner, the ASC ultimately invested in Fujifilm and ELUXEO as an upgrade from its 10-year-old legacy equipment, to further improve their clinical efficiencies and to maintain and improve physician satisfaction.

Citizens Memorial Hospital—Based in Bolivar, MO, Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is an 86-bed hospital serving eight counties in southwest Missouri. In 2018, 2014 and 2010 CMH was the recipient of the Missouri Quality Award, which is modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. CMH is the first in a nine-state region to purchase and install Fujifilm’s ELUXEO system and 700 series Endoscopes. The clinical team at CMH uses the new scopes to achieve precise and advanced visualization during upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.

Swedish Covenant Hospital— An independent, nonprofit teaching hospital offering a wide range of health and wellness services to north and northwest Chicago. The hospital has evolved over the past 130 years and is now an award-winning and Magnet®-recognized facility. With 500 board-certified doctors and advanced practitioners, Swedish Covenant Hospital offers care in more than 50 academic-level specialties utilizing the latest, most advanced technology and procedures available. Swedish Covenant physicians desired higher image quality than its legacy partner could provide. After gaining hands-on experience with ELUXEO, the team at Swedish Covenant was greatly impressed by the performance of the scopes, the image quality, and the value these innovative products could bring to their practice, and choosing to partner with Fujifilm.
