Dr. Sami El-Soudani: “Major Abrahamic Religions Have Been Hijacked From Their Beginnings”

For twenty years, Dr. Sami El-Soudani extensively and critically studied the three Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. He then came to the conclusion that each religion has been hijacked by certain individuals or groups throughout history. He realized that the “search for God who demands our ‘faith in the unseen’ has been the most difficult test of our human intelligence and consciousness.”
 
Concerned about the spiritual and mental wellness of Jews, Christians, and Muslims, Dr. El-Soudani wrote “In the Beginning: Hijacking of the Religion of God” in three volumes, all published under Westwood Books Publishing. Each volume deals with a particular Abrahamic faith: “Volume 1: Judaism,” “Volume 2: Christianity,” and “Volume 3: Islam.”
 
In “Volume 1: Judaism,” Dr. El-Soudani casts doubts on the authenticity of the Torah as written, which he contends Moses could not have authored the Jewish Holy Scripture due to the contradictions and confusion of events in the Jewish biblical history. In “Volume 2: Christianity,” he exposes the divinity of Jesus as a spiritual and political machination of Apostle Paul and Emperor Constantine. In “Volume 3: Islam,” he decries the hijacking of the religion by fundamentalists who adhere to violence. These issues are just part of the author’s exposé.
 
“In the Beginning” reads as a hard-hitting exposé on religions. Some readers would get the notion that Dr. El-Soudani’s works blatantly attack religions (or religious doctrines). However, the author’s purpose for his works is not polemical in nature; he deals not with doctrines but with the origins and historical development of the Abrahamic religions.
 
Dr. El-Soudani wishes to present a critical, objective analysis of three millennia of religious history in order to prove a point: that “the Religion of God” has been hijacked right from the beginning till this day. He hopes that through his works, readers will seriously tackle the misuse and abuse of religion by the powers-that-be.

About the Author
Dr. Sami El-Soudani is an aerospace materials scientist specializing in fracture mechanics and failure analysis and has been engaged for over thirty years in averting failures of aircraft structures.  For the past twenty years, however, he has been conducting independent theological research prompted by regrettable world events clearly showing that failures of the human spirit are of far more devastating consequences than failures of aircraft structures.  Dr. El-Soudani was born in Egypt, received his undergraduate degree from the Soviet Union, his MSc Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), and his PhD Degree from the University of Cambridge, England.
