The new 3DS 2.0 protocol aims to tackle the problem of cart abandonment rates by providing better customer experience with intelligent risk-based decisioning. It enables smooth consumer authentication and improves merchants’ profitability by reducing fraudulent transactions and increasing shopping cart conversion rates. Cardholders no longer have to remember passwords and can confirm their payments from a mobile app, opening up shopping across devices.
