WEBWIRE

The 40MW Tille et Venelle wind farm in Burgundy, France, has reached financial close. The wind farm has been acquired by the Renewables Infrastructure Group from Envision, and Mott MacDonald have been the lender’s technical advisor on the project.

The wind farm will consist of 16 EN131-2.5MW Envision wind turbine generators (WTGs). This will be the first time Envision WTGs have been used in Western Europe, making the project a milestone for the business and for France.

Mott MacDonald carried out technical due diligence services on the project, including permitting, contract and energy yield reviews. The consultancy will continue its role during construction monitoring.

Mott MacDonald’s project manager, Christopher Murray, said: “We are very pleased to be a part of this milestone project for France and Envision, and are looking forward to monitoring the construction phase on behalf of the lender during the course of 2019.”

Construction on the wind farm commenced in August 2018 and it is scheduled to become operational in January 2020.
