Shepherds Witness Biological Life Begin and End on a Regular Basis

Oakley, Idaho – WEBWIRE

“This book is inspirational in nature, and is written in the firm faith that it will elevate the quality of life of anyone who reads it,” Picket said when asked about his goal in writing the book, in addition to presenting some of the important lessons of nature in a way that is both entertaining and informative.

In his first publicly offered book, Don F. Pickett talks about a world and life he knows so well, in a language people from all walks of life will understand and appreciate.

Pickett believes no occupation comes closer to nature than that of a shepherd. They live amid it, entirely removed from the artificial world that unfortunately tends to occupy our attention. As a modern-day herdsman, he has witnessed the rhythm and harmony of nature itself, symbolizing the greatest lessons of nature.  In this book, Pickett openly shares these lessons that he has learned first-hand in all his years as a shepherd.

The author has served within the Idaho Department of Agriculture as chairman of the Idaho Sheep and Goat Health Board, and also as chairman of the Idaho State Animal Damage Control Board, and has written several articles in state and national magazines.
