Starcrawler Cover "Pet Sematary" by Ramones

Starcrawler have released a cover of the Ramones’ 1989 single “Pet Sematary” for the new Paramount Pictures film, based on Stephen King’s iconic novel, in cinemas now. Featured in the movie’s closing credits, the band’s cover of “Pet Sematary” was recorded by Mark Rankin (Queens of the Stone Age, Adele, Bloc Party, Weezer) and mixed by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten), and is a wild and contemporary run on the original track. Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, ’Pet Sematary’ ollows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.  The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer from a screenplay by Jeff Buhler and screen story by based on the novel by Stephen King. The film is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, and Stephen Schneider.
