Children’s author Penny Higgins publishes new rhythmic book

Penny Higgins continues the tradition of writing children’s books that rhyme. Her latest work “Oscar, the Mighty Crab” (ReadersMagnet, 2018) comes seven years after her last book, which was published under the now-defunct Tate Publishing.
 
Just like her previous works – and many other children’s books that rhyme, “Oscar, the Mighty Crab” tells a great story, this time, about a young crab who gets a brief taste of the surface world. His experience or, rather, adventure in the upper world is great and it makes him want to stay. However, his best friend Tom advises otherwise.

Penny Higgins has been writing poetry since she was seven years old. She has written several children’s stories, including “The Jiger and the Tiraffe,” and “There’s a Bear in My Bed.” Penny is a retired teacher. She lives with her husband, Larry, in a small retirement community in Oregon. They have two children, five grandchildren, and a great granddaughter, all making her very proud.
