WEBWIRE

Beldocs in Progress (BIP) International is a platform to present international documentary projects from the Western Balkans and Post Soviet Media countries to the international industry. The aim is to support the production, post-production, distribution, and showcasing of international documentaries from low production capacity countries on film festivals, TV channels and VOD platforms by presenting the projects to festival programmers, sales agents, distributors, TV commissioning editors and potential co-producers. The submission deadline is March 1, 2019. More information on BIP and how to apply can be found here.

The Beldocs Academy programme is a three-day course hosted and presented by Francine Raveney and Kobi Shely. The sessions will focus on how to set up a financing, marketing and distribution plan as well as drafting a business strategy along with applications for funding through Creative Europe MEDIA and Eurimages. Throughout the three-day lectures, master classes and one-to-one sessions, participants will develop their projects and prepare themselves for a public pitch. The submission deadline is March 1, 2019. More information on Beldocs Academy and how to apply can be found here.

The Beldocs Documentaries for Kids & Youth Development Workshop is organized in collaboration with EDN and focuses on documentaries for younger audiences. The session will have an intimate setting with the teams connected to six selected projects currently in development. All projects have a focus on younger audiences as their target. The short term goal is to strengthen the quality of concrete projects and provide the teams with the best possible route for international funding and distribution. The long term goal is to educate leading creators to better navigate the international market for kids and youth documentaries. The submission deadline is March 10, 2019. More information about the workshop content and how to apply can be found here.
