Turner Builds on Commitment to Advancing Advertising with Key Promotions

As Turner Ignite works to stay ahead of steady industry changes and continues to challenge the status quo, the business unit of Turner announced it has elevated Seth Cole to senior vice president of brand partnerships, Turner Ignite Sports and Marybeth Strobel to senior vice president of ad innovation, Turner Ignite. Both have been integral in driving innovation and recognizable results within their respective roles, as part of the company’s commitment to building real connections with consumers.  

In her nearly 20 years with Turner, Strobel has led various sales teams with an analytical eye and a natural curiosity for innovation to empower clients with a simpler way of advertising. She has managed across platforms, grew Turner’s emerging digital businesses and led advertising sales across the Turner portfolio. Based in New York, Strobel reports to Dan Aversano, senior vice president of ad innovation and programmatic solutions for Turner Ignite. 

In her elevated role, Marybeth is a vital part of the company’s vision to lead relevant advertising and automation solutions. As part of Turner Ignite, Marybeth and her team work closely with various company stakeholders to innovate, build and drive adoption of advanced advertising, including collaborating with AT&T’s Xandr unit to greatly enhance Turner’s existing products. She and her team partner with agency & advertisers to deliver next generation ad capabilities. This includes developing portfolio audience-based deals -- powered by custom data sets and technology – as well infusing client feedback into Ignite’s strategy to continue delivering innovative solutions that drive significant business results. 

Since joining Turner in 2003, Cole has worked with all facets of the business and has built up a unique expertise as his growing role within the organization took him to different markets. In his elevated role, Cole will continue to oversee Turner Ignite Sports, which brings together Turner Sports’ intellectual property – including Bleacher Report Live, the NBA, NCAA Digital, MLB, ELEAGUE, and UEFA – live events and experiential marketing, creative services and data solutions, to elevate partners’ marketing efforts to the next level. 

Since Turner Ignite Sports’ roll-out in 2017, Cole has led efforts around large-scale integrated brand partnerships, such as the NBA on TNT Road Show with American Express and Capital One’s The Match: Tiger vs. Phil, and has been instrumental in growing non-traditional revenue opportunities through on-the-ground activations and new franchises on linear broadcasts and social media. Based in New York, he reports to Will Funk, executive vice president of property marketing and corporate partnerships for Turner Sports.
