Montreal Laboratory Receives PALA Accreditation for Air Microbiology Analysis

EMSL Canada, Inc. is proud to announce that its Montreal laboratory has received certification from the Laboratory Accreditation Program (PALA) administered by the Centre of Expertise in Environmental Analysis of Quebec (CEAEQ). The laboratory is now accredited for air microbiology laboratory testing including fungal air, fungal bulk and Legionella analysis.
EMSL’s Montreal laboratory received authorization from the Quebec Ministry of Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change’s Center for Expertise in Environmental Analysis, with the technical support of the Robert Sauvé Research Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (IRSST - Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST)) to perform the analyses associated with the domains 605 and 606. In addition, EMSL Montreal already holds certification for asbestos analysis by polarized light microscopy (PLM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) by IRSST. The laboratory is also accredited for air and bulk asbestos testing by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). EMSL Montreal is also certified for asbestos in solid and hazardous waste materials by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP).
