David and Beverly Sedlacek update self-help book on healing with new insights

The couple, both mental health professionals involved in Adventist ministry, shares what they have learned about neuroscience and forgiveness in the third edition of their self-help book.

Buchanan, MI, USA – WEBWIRE

The third edition of this insightful and practical guide comes with insights on neuroscience and an updated chapter on the topic about forgiveness.

The new edition of “Cleansing the Sanctuary of the Heart: Tools for Emotional Healing” (ReadersMagnet; 2018) by David and Beverly Sedlacek abounds with profound biblical and neuroscientific insights on healing from mental and emotional disorders, abuse, relationship problems, and compulsive addictions.

The spiritual self-help book contains real stories of people who have had experienced and endured the brokenness of their relationship with God, which is the results of sin as manifested through the aforementioned emotional and relational challenges. “Cleansing the Sanctuary of the Heart” tells of their journey to healing and forgiveness, about how they gained the courage to face the pain and trauma of their abuse, addictions, and other challenges.

Just like in the other editions of their book, the authors impart biblical principles to help their intended readers to heal emotionally and, above all, restore intimacy with God. The third edition of “Cleansing the Sanctuary of the Heart” outlines neuroscience findings that will enable the reader to understand how the brain handles trauma and how to develop new ways of thinking, feeling, and acting by using biblical principles.

“We have experienced Jesus more deeply and personally for ourselves since the second edition,” said the authors. “Therefore, our continuing journey with our best Friend is reflected in this third edition.

“We have also learned much about neuroscience that is of tremendous benefit to understanding how our bodies, souls and spirits work together in wondrous harmony… We have also developed our thinking and practice in the area of forgiveness.”
