Elsevier partners with health professionals to meet the challenges of data and artificial intelligence at CDSS Symposium

Clinical decision support, AI and big data in the hospital among the featured topics to be highlighted at a newly-launched event

Elsevier, the information analytics business specializing in science and health, announces the organization of a symposium dedicated to Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS), entitled Clinical Decision Support System, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in the Hospital: Impacts and Limitations Seen by Physicians, and will take place at the Maison des Polytechniciens.

Organized in partnership with the Association française d’informatique médicale, the Comité National de Coordination de la Recherche, the Fédération hospitalière de France, the Healthcare Data Institute, the Institut Curie and Medicen Paris, the day will bring together more than 200 health and medical professionals to discuss the challenges of AI.

Topics covered will include the integration of validated information into information systems, to predictive medicine based on algorithms that seek to replicate clinical reasoning; data collection coupled with AI; and the impacts the continuum of the decision-making chain. Professionals from the medical and hospital sector will be presenting on the developments that AI and data bring to the health sector, but will also highlight the limits of these new technologies and the upheaval in terms of medical progress, ethics, law and the relationship with patients.

Elsevier annonce l’organisation d’un symposium dédié à l’aide à la décision clinique (Clinical Decision Support System ou CDSS), intitulé « aide à la décision clinique, intelligence artificielle et Big Data à l’hôpital : impacts et limites vus par les médecins », le 11 décembre prochain, à la Maison des Polytechniciens.

Organisé en partenariat avec l’Association française d’informatique médicale, le Comité National de Coordination de la Recherche, la Fédération hospitalière de France, le Healthcare Data Institute, l’Institut Curie et Medicen Paris, cette journée réunira plus de 200 professionnels du secteur médical et hospitalier pour échanger sur les enjeux de l’intelligence artificielle.

De l’intégration de l’information validée dans les systèmes d’informations, à la médecine prédictive basée sur des algorithmes cherchant à répliquer le raisonnement clinique, le recueil de la data couplée à l’intelligence artificielle impacte le continuum de la chaîne de décision. Les professionnels du secteur médical et hospitalier viendront exposer les évolutions que l’intelligence artificielle et la data apportent dans le secteur de la santé mais également mettre en lumière les limites de ces bouleversements au regard des progrès médicaux, de la déontologie, du droit, et de la relation avec les patients.
