Beginning in November 2018, Ecuadorians may enter Mexico without a visa.

WEBWIRE

The government of Mexico officially announced that as of November 29, 2018, citizens of Ecuador traveling to Mexico as tourists may enter the country without a visa.

From that day forward the only requirement for Ecuadorians visiting Mexico for unpaid activities, including tourism and academics among others, will only need a valid and current passport.

Moreover, the visa requirement will be suspended for Ecuadorians entering Mexico as tourists with a maximum stay of 180 days from the date of their entry without the possibility of extension.

For Ecuadorians traveling to Mexico for reasons beyond tourism, like academic study or employment, they will be required to head to the National Immigration Institute with a visa.
