Christian dance artist releases long-awaited single after eight months in the works

Artist Marcel Harrison’s creation, “Just Breathe,” recently hit digital stores on September 25, 2018. After about eight months of hard work and prayers, an upbeat dance song was born.
According to Marcel Harrison, “Just Breathe” was the single that took the longest to create. A local grade-school student was enlisted, along with Marcel’s sister, Elizabeth Harrison, to do the song. Kat Anderson did the vocals while Elizabeth added spoken words in her silky voice.
“I was stuck on the second verse until God brought a brother (Thomas Clarke) across my path. After a disagreement and subsequent reconciliation, the second verse sprung forth and the song was finished,” Marcel recalls.
Marcel Harrison released his debut album in 2014, a remix in 2016 and 2017, and several singles in between. “Just Breathe” is his latest single for 2018. As Marcel was producing the track, it started as a slower song with his father’s and a neighbor’s vocals. As he began working on the instrumentation, the slow song transformed into an upbeat dance song.
