Fujifilm Showcases Expanded ELUXEO® Platform and Advanced Surgical Visualization System at ACG 2018

Wayne, NJ, and Valhalla, NY – WEBWIRE

(Booth #501) – FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. – Endoscopy and FUJIFILM New Development, U.S.A., Inc. will exhibit their advanced surgical and endoscopic visualization systems at ACG 2018, the American College of Gastroenterology’s Annual Meeting from October 5-10, 2018, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.

ELUXEO is Fujifilm’s next-generation image enhanced endoscopy platform, comprised of the 7000 Video Imaging System and now, the 700 Series Endoscopes. Launched in the summer of 2018, Fujifilm’s 700 Series scopes feature a host of advancements in comfort, efficiency, and visualization. This platform offers improved image quality in terms of sharpness and brightness. It also delivers optimal visual information for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in daily clinical practice.

“Fujifilm’s latest innovation—the 700 Series Endoscopes—were designed to provide clinicians with clearer, sharper images and optical enhancement, ultimately making endoscopic procedures more efficient and helping physicians to improve patient outcomes,” said Johann Fernando, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer of FUJIFIM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “We look forward to showcasing this advanced technology at ACG 2018, a preeminent educational event and an industry forum attracting GI clinicians from across the globe.

In September, Fujifilm added two new endoscopes to its 700 Series portfolio and ELUXEO platform. The EG-760Z and the EC-760ZP-V/L feature Multi-Zoom Technology, delivering up to 135x maximum optical magnification*, providing a highly detailed image of the mucosal surface and vascular patterns. Users can choose between the 2-, 3- or 5-step modes, or continuous zoom mode to meet individual needs. Both scopes will be available for demonstration in booth #501.

Also new to the booth this year, Fujifilm will debut its minimally invasive advanced surgical systems, consisting of a whole suite of minimally invasive tools designed to support more sophisticated surgeries. Fujifilm’s Ultra-Slim Video Laparoscope System and Full HD Surgical Visualization System aid surgeons and clinicians performing surgical procedures in a range of medical specialties.

“We’re excited to debut our advanced surgical systems at ACG 2018, an opportunity to introduce thousands of endoscopists and medical professionals to our latest innovations in minimally invasive surgical endoscopy,” Stephen Mariano, Vice President and General Manager, FUJIFILM New Development, U.S.A., Inc. “Initial feedback to our flexible and rigid laparoscopes has been very positive, with customers noting exceptional image quality with a durable, low profile, easy to use scope. We encourage attendees to visit booth #501 for a demonstration.”

Hands-On Endoscopy Workshop Center
During the annual meeting, participants will be able to gain practical experience and fine-tune their endoscopy skills by interacting with the experts while performing the latest techniques and using cutting-edge devices during ACG 2018. The sessions will take place on Sunday, October 7th through Tuesday, October 9th.
Fujifilm will provide four towers of equipment for these sessions and will participate in workshops focusing on Polypectomy, EUS, ERCP and ESD.

Educating Tomorrow’s Clinicians
A tradition for nearly twenty years, Fujifilm will participate in ACG’s “Prescriptions in Success: Careers in Medicine” event. Sponsored by ACG’s Committee on Minority Affairs and Cultural Diversity, the program will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Central High School in Philadelphia. One hundred eager students are anticipated to attend. During the educational session, Fujifilm will offer the students a chance to gain hands-on experience with clinical technology, while inspiring them to pursue careers in medicine.
