“Magos Ground Based Radar is a great example of how the Global Center of Excellence Network helps bridge the divide between innovation and commercialization.” -- Or Shinhertz, director of innovation, Johnson Controls

Startups participating in onsite demonstrations from JCI Open Innovation – a global innovation center in Tel Aviv launched to foster collaboration between the company, customers and cutting-edge startups to deliver effective solutions worldwide – include:

  • ContinUse, groundbreaking sensor technology that enables authentication from a distance based on an individual’s unique heartbeat signature and continuous monitoring of vital signs. Uses include ongoing biometric monitoring, highly-secured access control and onsite health and safety compliance.
  • Convexum, proactive anti-drone technology that prevents intrusions into private airspace by automatically taking over and safely landing drones in a predetermined location.
  • Percepto, an autonomous drone solution for perimeter protection and securing facilities, including fence patrols, suspect detection and tracking, smoke detection, fire detection, and gas leak detection. The entire operation cycle is fully automatic with
pre-defined schedules and no need for a human pilot.
  • Securithings, software that monitors IoT enabled devices and activities in real-time to detect and mitigate cybersecurity threats.
  • Radio Physics, autonomous detection that monitors for person borne concealed weapons in real-time. The non-invasive solution can be used indoors and outdoors, and operate in a range of up to 100 feet.

Magos Ground Based Radar is another solution that will be on display as part of the Global Center of Excellence Network, an organization dedicated to developing standards and technical specifications that enable high-quality fire and security installations. Following its conception as part of JCI Innovation, the cutting-edge technology has been successfully piloted at several U.S. companies for perimeter detection and video verification by using radar technology.

“Magos Ground Based Radar is a great example of how the Global Center of Excellence Network helps bridge the divide between innovation and commercialization,” said Or Shinhertz, director of innovation, Johnson Controls. “Paired with the startups’ solutions from JCI Open Innovation, we look forward to demonstrating how our expansive and integrated technology portfolio can solve customers’ toughest security concerns today and in the future.”
