The Elizabeth Hospice Offers Volunteer Bereavement Facilitator Training

The Elizabeth Hospice will host a two-day volunteer training for individuals interested in co-facilitating support groups for children and teens. Administrative support and community outreach volunteers are also needed. The training will be held on September 22 and 23, 2018 from 10am to 6pm at our Escondido Children’s Bereavement Center located at 930 Canterbury Place, Escondido 92025. Must attend both days.
 
Adult bereavement volunteer facilitator training is Saturday, September 29 from 10am to 4pm at The Elizabeth Hospice Children’s Bereavement Center located at 930 Canterbury Place, Escondido 92025.
 
As a member of the team, you will play a critical role in helping to facilitate peer-based grief support groups. Once trained, you will be working alongside bereaved children, teens, and adults as they explore grief and loss.
 
The Elizabeth Hospice is seeking individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Volunteers are asked to commit six hours a month from September through May at either our Mission Valley or Escondido location.
