TC Titanium Plans to Launch Another New Facility to Reduce Cost of Titanium by 15% to 20% for the Aerospace Industry

Since its inception in 2007, TC Titanium has been expanding its business around the world. Currently, their headquarters are in China with various warehouses in Germany, U.S, and Russia. At the end of 2018, TC Titanium plans to launch another new facility that is focused on the Aerospace industry which will cost a total of $200 million. This facility is designed to significantly increase production capability to 10,000 tons of aerospace quality titanium and titanium alloy products. This facility has a 60% better efficiency than older mills subsequently reducing the product cost by 15 – 20%.
New facility investment:
1. EB Furnace
Electron Beam melting offers a proven refining technology for Titanium. This technology improves the uniformity of composition and an increase in production efficiency.
2. Double Station Var Furnace
After the completion of one station smelting, the furnace end and crucibles are isolates with blocking valve. During ingot cooling and demolding, the furnace end is transferred to another station for smelting. Smelting is carried out between two stations alternately to improve the production efficiency.
3. 6300t Forging Press
Our large tonnage forging press allows us to expand our product specification range. This forge radically improves the performance of the product and to microstructure uniformity.
4. Continuous Rolling Mill
Continuous Rolling Mill is run using Rods and Wires to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy. It also increases the production flexibility and productivity.
5. On-Line Monitoring System
The on-line monitoring system monitors the product quality and production status in real time. The automation system makes quality control more effective.
