About the Author
Douglas Buck is a common citizen, born in a land of liberty and filled with industrious people.  During his early years, he lived with his parents and grandparents.  Everyone had chores.  The family raised fruits, produced eggs and milk, and plowed walks and driveways.  Children played and walked or rode their bikes to school with little concern about being abused or taken hostage.

Buck’s education includes an undergraduate degree in history and graduate degree in nutritional biochemistry where he learned how to think critically and get to the heart of a matter.  Much of his career was spent coordinating a program for the State of Connecticut where he became familiar with governmental policies and operations.

In his later years, Buck read “The Making of America” by W. Cleon Skousen, which gives rationale for each clause of the U.S. Constitution.  That knowledge and Buck’s belief that true principles are timeless, became the inspiration for this book.

Buck lives on the remaining acreage of the family farm with his wife, Virginia.  They have four children and sixteen grandchildren.
