The Souls of Art, Reincarnated

Hope and joy blossom from the depths of one’s heart as one receives a phone call from a dear lover. Apparently, not for Johnny Chambers. Kitty, Johnny’s wife, is wrongly accused of a robbery that eventually led her to getting fired. Johnny finishes his route and stops off at work. His supervisor, Jake, decides to get him laid off. Heavy hearted from all the happenings, he goes home to their apartment.

And if the gravity of their day’s negativity isn’t enough, they hear a harsh banging on the door. Two police officers enter the sight of Johnny and arrest him on the grounds of murder. In prison, he finds two inmates, David Madejas and Vinny LePugh, who have been pushed to the brink of death. Upon careful observation, he witnesses manifestations of unworldly talents and arrives at a conclusion: the reincarnation of the two great souls of Amadeus Mozart (in David’s body) and Vincent Van Gogh (in Vinny’s body).

Death flirts, too, with Johnny, and he wakes up to find that he is trapped in the soul of Ernest Hemingway. Ill thoughts corrupt the warden’s mind, and he turns back on them. The three great souls lay out a plan of prison break. Just as when the plan turns out to be a success, graver impediments start to unravel.

About the Author
I grew up in Austin, Texas. My father was a doctor and I also played in many local bands in the local area.
I first began writing songs and I also recorded two CDs of my own music.  I have also written two full-length screenplays entitled “The Loose Quarter” and “Tres Hombres.” I have also finished a novella entitled “The Three Souls.” The book is about prison life and reincarnation in a Texas prison.  The book is available at Amazon and other major online booksellers.
