Strategy gaming pioneer, KIXEYE, today announced the completion of a charity drive on behalf of Gold Star Teen Adventures, a mentorship program for surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Through a special sale inside of its hit title, War Commander: Rogue Assault, KIXEYE and its players raised over $31,000 for the non-profit organization.

“We thank Gold Star Teen Adventures for their help in coordinating this fundraiser, as well as for their work benefiting the families of those who serve,” said John Getze, CMO of KIXEYE. “We’d also like to thank the Rogue Assault community for their generosity in contributing to this worthwhile cause.”

Based in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Gold Star Teen Adventures was created to provide an environment where Gold Star children can come together, heal and be a part of character and leadership-building experiences with others who have shared a similar journey. It’s founded by Kent Solheim, a special operations service member who was inspired to help others after his own journey of recovery.

The charity drive took place over Memorial Day weekend, from May 25th to May 28th. Thousands of War Commander: Rogue Assault players purchased the special in-game offer  benefiting Gold Star Teen Adventures.

Since launching in 2016, War Commander: Rogue Assault has emerged as one of the most popular games in KIXEYE’s mobile repertoire. The success of the Gold Star Teen Adventures charity drive speaks to the game’s community of passionate players, and opens the door for similar philanthropic opportunities in the future.
